True Fiction

Susan Harkema, research director at the Kentucky Spinal Cord Injury Research Center in Louisville, recently published an article in Lancet regarding her work to help spinal cord injury victims regain mobility by using electrical stimulation to the spine. Read about it in the New York Times here and TechCrunch here.

The real life technology is very similar to that developed by the fictional start-up company NeuroStimix in my novel Vulture Capital. Read about the book here or listen to the free podcast here.
